Ben Owen
Attorney
Ben is a trial attorney at LoVerde Law, LLC, where he represents individuals who have been injured or wronged and helps them pursue the justice and compensation they deserve. His practice focuses on personal injury, negligence, civil rights violations, and other common law and statutory tort claims. Ben brings extensive courtroom experience, a meticulous approach to case preparation, and a commitment to advocating for people whose lives have been affected by the actions of others.
Before joining LoVerde Law, Ben served as a Deputy District Attorney in Colorado, where he prosecuted a wide range of criminal matters from initial investigation and charging decisions through jury trial and sentencing. During his time as a prosecutor, Ben tried more than 47 jury trials and represented victims of domestic violence, sexual offenses, physical violence, and other crimes. This experience sharpened his ability to analyze evidence, evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of a case, prepare witnesses, and present compelling arguments in the courtroom. Ben brings these skills to his civil practice, where he advocates for individuals seeking accountability and recovery for the harm they have suffered.
Ben believes effective representation begins with thorough preparation and a strong attorney-client relationship. He approaches each case with careful attention to the evidence, a clear understanding of his clients' goals, and a commitment to honest, straightforward communication. He strives to ensure that clients understand their options, know what to expect as their cases progress, and feel informed and supported throughout the legal process.
Before entering practice, Ben served as a student law clerk for the Honorable Mark D. Pfeiffer of the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Richmond School of Law, where he served on the Moot Court and Trial Advocacy Boards and as a Senior Staff Member of the University of Richmond Law Review. Before law school, Ben played collegiate baseball at Wesleyan University and served as an advocate-member of the Student Athlete Mental Health Network.
Ben is a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice. He is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Colorado.
Jessica Fenner
Paralegal
Jessica has been a part of Chicago’s legal industry for over a decade, in both litigation support and management. She started her career as a legal assistant at a plaintiff’s personal injury law firm and earned her Paralegal Certificate from Depaul University. She then spent several years working as a litigation paralegal for one of the largest property and casualty insurance companies in the country. Jessica spent the last two years as an office manager at a mid-size plaintiff’s personal injury law firm in downtown Chicago,
where she managed multiple office locations, oversaw day-to-day operations, and served as a project manager.Outside of work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her two nieces, going to White Sox games, baking, reading, and exploring the city (as long as the temperature is above freezing). She also regularly volunteers with Chicago White Sox Charities, Meals on Wheels, and Misercordia.
Madison Strickland
Marketing and Development Manager
Madison Strickland is a results-driven marketing professional with a strong background in brand strategy, experiential marketing, and digital content creation. At LoVerde Law, Madison oversees all aspects of the firm's marketing initiatives from developing and executing comprehensive marketing plans to managing social media strategy, SEO, and website content.
Madison's goal is to implement a strategic and creative marketing approach that increases online visibility, generates qualified leads, and builds trust with
potential clients. Before moving into legal marketing, Madison honed her skills in the experiential and brand marketing space, coordinating over 200 activations for clients like Aetna, Condé Nast, and Airbnb. She brings a unique blend of agency and in-house experience, with a sharp eye for storytelling, design, and audience engagement. Her experience with high-profile brands and consumer-facing events translates seamlessly into creating authentic, compelling campaigns in the legal field.
Madison holds a strong passion for connecting people to the services they need and takes pride in crafting marketing strategies that drive impact, reinforce credibility, and resonate with the community.
Zach Safer
Law Clerk
Zach is a current 3L at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where he’s also a member of the Sports Law Negotiation Competition Team. Throughout law school, he’s gained valuable experience through externships and clerkships with Chicago Public Schools, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, where he worked for Hon. Judge Sara L. Ellis.
Before law school, Zach earned his B.A. in Sociology and Criminology from Butler University. A proud Chicago native from
the western suburbs, he began his career at Riley Safer Holmes & Cancila LLP, working in the firm’s billing department for two years before pursuing his law degree.
Faith Dallo
Law Clerk
Faith is entering her second year at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she is actively involved in the Student Bar Association and serves on the Criminal Law Mock Trial Team. She earned her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Law, Justice, and Public Policy.
Faith brings valuable experience from her time working at a personal injury law firm, where her passion for litigation and client advocacy truly took root. She’s excited to
build on that foundation and gain hands-on experience with our team.
